Can too much exposure of your listing be bad?

Can you over-expose your listing to the market?  Can you provide too many photos?  If the potential buyer can see the entire home and surrounding neighborhood and virtually walk through the home online, do they need to call a Realtor to show it to them?

The following article addresses some of these questions and does make a case for the importance of multiple photos and virtual tours for your listings.  But studies do show that too many photos or too long an online tour might cause a loss of interest.  I think a good rule of thumb is what Real Estate Shows mentions in this article – viewers can't handle more than 60 seconds – the length of a TV commercial.  After that interest declines.  You might consider these ideas the next time you post a tour or photos online.
